Redbridge regeneration pitch targets new homes and jobs

By Hiyastar Local News Desk

Redbridge Council used UKREiiF 2026 to promote its regeneration and investment plans to developers, investors and public-sector partners, with Ilford and sites linked to the Elizabeth Line central to the borough’s pitch.

The council said its delegation attended the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum to attract investment, build partnerships and showcase opportunities set out in the Invest Redbridge Prospectus. The event brought together more than 16,000 leaders from government, property, infrastructure and development sectors.

Ilford and Elizabeth Line sites in focus

Redbridge’s pitch centred on the borough’s position in east London, where the council says transport links and available regeneration sites create scope for long-term investment.

The council highlighted Ilford and areas along the Elizabeth Line route through the borough as priority opportunities. Its stated aims include new homes, jobs and wider growth for local communities, although no individual development deal was announced in the council’s update.

The Redbridge delegation included Chief Executive Claire Hamilton, Executive Director of Place, Communities and Enterprise Steve Moore, and senior regeneration officers.

The council’s wider political direction has also been framed around housing and borough transformation, including recent changes to the local leadership team reported in Redbridge’s cabinet appointments.

Investor talks to continue after UKREiiF

Cllr Kam Rai, Leader of Redbridge Council, said the borough was positioned as one of London’s major remaining opportunities for large-scale investment, citing the Elizabeth Line and Redbridge’s transport connections.

“We’ve had hugely positive conversations at the conference, and we’re keen to start progressing those discussions with partners who share our ambition,” he said.

Claire Hamilton said UKREiiF had allowed the council to show “the scale of Redbridge’s ambition” and the momentum behind its regeneration plans.

The next stage will be a series of follow-up meetings with developers, investors and strategic partners. The council said intelligence gathered at UKREiiF will help refine its investment narrative ahead of a Redbridge Investor Forum planned for October 2026.
