Morning wellness and retail offers

The festival begins with a focus on local commerce and personal wellbeing. Simultaneously, Biba Browns is providing a complimentary glass of prosecco with every haircut for those looking for a festival glow-up.

For those seeking a moment of calm, local teacher Ricardo leads a free Tai Chi session at Troubridge Square from 2pm. The class focuses on slow, meditative movements designed to improve balance and reduce stress. Families dining at Aavo café can take advantage of a dedicated kids’ zone featuring a bouncy castle, slides, and creative arts sessions running until 7pm.

Creative workshops and historical discovery

Artistic expression is a core theme of this year’s event. At Images in Frames, a live art disco from 4pm combines music and drinks with a live artist demonstration. In the Wood Street Indoor Market, Tokens and Treats will host a heat-printing workshop where visitors can create affordable personalised pencil cases.

History enthusiasts can join Joanna Moncrieff for the “Secrets of Wood Street” walking tours. Part one explores lost pubs and historic film studios, while part two uncovers the social history of the district’s former industrial areas. Both tours depart from Wood Street Station and require prior registration.

Food, music, and evening entertainment

As the afternoon progresses, the focus shifts to the local culinary scene. Wood Street Bakery is collaborating with Wood Street Coffee for a special pastry and single-origin Kenyan coffee pairing. In the evening, the bakery launches its “Bakery Lates” series, featuring Mediterranean-inspired snacks and wine from Renegade.

Music lovers can head to Wood Street Bear for the Chill Out Tent DJs, followed by the Lost for Words punk-fueled art exhibition. The evening concludes with a variety of performances, including a drag cabaret at Pixie’s Bar in the Georgian Village and karaoke at The Flower Pot. For those wanting to continue the celebrations, The Duke hosts the official festival afterparty with DJs playing until 3am. Entry to the afterparty is restricted to those aged 18 and over with valid identification.

Note that individual venues manage their own programming. Visitors are encouraged to contact specific businesses directly for booking inquiries or accessibility details.
